Nestled under the towering Baou de St. Jeannet, the property is 300 meters from the medieval village of St. Jeannet and six kilometers from Vence ( home to the Matisse Chapel and a fabulous food market!)  Rental includes a huge sunny gourmet kitchen, which includes modern appliances and is accented with antique tiles.Dining for six to eight in the kitchen or on outside terrace. In season, pick fresh olives, figs, lavender, cherries, persimmons and apricots. Explore the country hills, by following one of the many hiking trails that lead away from the back of the property. The main house includes a cozy salon, large upstairs bedroom with queen-sized bed (separates into twins) and en suite bathroom with tub and shower. Cottage has double bed and en suite bathroom with shower. Both have beautiful views. Very peaceful, yet only 30 minutes to beaches and coast. Amenities: fireplace, phone, stereo, CD player, gourmet kitchen, dishwasher, refrigerator, cooking utensils, linens, washing machine, BBQ, terrace and patio, small garden with fruit trees, reserved parking spot. Please note: although the property comes with a reserved parking spot, the last 150 meters to the house is on foot and is rather steep. There is no wheelchair access. Activities (on site or nearby): hiking, rock climbing, golfing, fishing, hunting, food markets, antique markets, boutique shopping, restaurants, cinemas, museums, sightseeing, swimming, boating, sailing.
